Lineages, methodologies, and teachers that have inspired your practice: My practice began over a decade ago online with Yoga with Adrienne and a melting-pot of teachers in the various Community Yoga classes I have joined. That said, I became deeply connected to Hatha-influenced teaching with lingering aspirations to explore an Ashtanga practice. In 2014 I first entered the fitness industry as a Zumba instructor and have always loved to dance and move my body recreationally. This love for community movement and connection is what keeps me honest on the mat.

How Cheyne is supporting Forth: Teacher
Pronouns: he/him/his
3 adjectives to describe your teaching? purposeful, instructive, mindful
What inspires you to guide at Forth? What inspired me most to guide at Forth is the fact that Forth identifies as a movement studio and doesn't try to be something it's not. There's no imitation, there's no pretentiousness. Forth is what it is: A movement studio designed to help and make students move and feel better. The omission of mirrors speaks to its authenticity. In a society where most of us spend more than enough time looking at ourselves and trying to create an image, the absence of mirrors in the studio allows you to be yourself without the constant self-critique and judgment.
Favorite tunes to play in class? Unapologetically country.
Lineages, methodologies, and teachers that have inspired your practice: Joe Holder has a great message: "Make movement a movement." For me, that's what fitness is all about. Not the ability to crush a 60 minute HIIT class or survive a 100 degree room while doing burpees, but the ability to move each and every day without pain or restrictions.
